Hopeless Heroic mix influences from Muse, Rage Against the Machine and Metallica with Violins and Hip Hop sounds in a dangerous concoction. Intended to assume some individuality, the result forms an edgy yet commercial sound, as monstrous as it is beautiful.
Having received rave reviews and critical acclaim, national airplay has followed on Radio 1, Total Rock, and BBC Scotland among others. HH’s music is also being featured in a TV documentary and has already been featured in a BBC radio documentary. Sold out gigs and frenetic live performances have been aimed at bringing back the wow factor and value for money to the live scene.
Aside from a fine stand-alone project, their debut album also acts as the soundtrack to the Lead singer Gavin Bain’s book and film and the songs deal with issues such as identity, confidence, lies, fame, celebrity, life, death, addiction and suicide. The self-released debut Mechanical Lions EP is as conceptually creative and originally dynamic as it is catchy and anthemic. Reviews and sales of the EP have born out their promise with scenes of sing-a-long and hysteria. They have shot a music video with Richard Poet (Batman Begins) for the EP’s key song Guinea pig Syndrome.
