DeVIence is a fuse of great guitar based rock music concentrating on captivating melodies and strong vocals, if you listen to anything from “Metallica to One Republic”, you will definitely like what you hear! We (Giovanni, and Sawyer) formed DeVIence at the end of 2008, as we both shared a common passion for making music and felt our interests in music would blend well. Keeping that in mind, we collaborated our different styles and came up with our own sound. Shortly after forming we went on the search for the rest of the band and we found Vas (Drummer) who was a character from day one and we instantly knew that he would be a great addition. Shortly after Ben (Bass) followed who is a top guy and has proved a hit with the ladies. deVIence main aim has always been to make great music, not only for our own appreciation but for the people who listen to it, each line, each melody, we ask ourselves will the people relate to this?, not only a certain stereotype but for all!
Our influences are about every good band that has played a descent track over the years, we both have a very eclectic tastes in music, and some artists you'll find very random considering the genre we play. Alter Bridge, Nickelback, Switchfoot, Metallica, Pantera, Aerosmith, Megadeath, Dream Theater, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, The Beatles, One Republic, Angels & Airwaves, Apocalyptica, The Fray, Foo Fighters, Bloc Party, John Mayer, Incubus and many, many more you name it we've listened to it!
